Hey y'all!

I made a Fallout/Twilight Zone radioplay about the end of the world! Would love to hear what y'all think!

Ey yo creatures!

I know I disappeared off of the face of the earth, I'll be back here eventually if time allows it, but here's something for y'all. A show about a guy who turns into a dinosaur to fight crime!

Ey yo!

Figured I would leave a bit of an update since there won't be anything coming from this channel for the next couple of months.
Currently I am working on the biggest project I have ever undertaken. The previous games that I have released are honestly stuff that I could have thrown together when I was 16 if I had put my mind to it. The current project is something that I definitely couldn't have managed in highschool. Maybe I could have put this together at 20, so I am still three years behind schedule, but I'm getting there.

It feels great to be making headway on this thing. It's much bigger than anything I have ever done before, both in length and in scope. I have fifteen different voices to work with and around twenty scenes to animate. For refference the biggest game I have made so far, Layin' Pipe, had three different voice actors and nine different scenes.

Whilst I have used other artists for previous projects to make up for my lack of drawing skills I have invested a couple months of daily drawing into sharpening out my skills in order to be able to fully illustrate this project. The style is fairly minimalist in order to make up for my lack of hand-eye coordination in the realm of art but it should cut down production time by quite a bit and ensure that I can get the exact emotions/positions for all of the characters in order to get the script across.
With that said the production on this is still a giant time killer. Whilst the other games could have been put together in a matter of six days if I put in daily effort the voice recording alone has taken up over a week. With sound mixing, game drafting, drawing and coding I have given myself a conservative New Years deadline but hopefully I will be able to get something up here by mid December.

Anyway, just wanted to let you guys know that I'm not dead...

Yet.

Well, fuck.
I was hoping to switch over to tablet drawings on my own accord but the newest game just fucked me into submission. After days of painstaking work to create something bigger than I usually do I've realised that the file sizes associated with using scanned in drawings crashes flash non-stop. It took me nearly an hour to trick the computer into combining the whole game into a cogent whole but then it turned out that it refuses to export. One week of work down the drain. This fucking blows.
Sigh.
I'm exhausted and in a shit mood but I guess there's a silver lining to this whole thing. Tablet art will make this whole thing much easier and will allow for a wider range of expressions and all that noise. Going digital is going to better the quality and overall it's definitely a move I wanted to make but FUCK.

Losing work fucking blows.
Urgh.

With that said, I'm going to try to get back to sorting out this specific game in a day or two. Chances are, however, that it won't get put together and that this particular project is going to just have to rot. I'm not going to re-do the whole thing with digital art, that would drive me nuts. Hopefully I'll be able to get something out by the end of September.

Time for a long-ass run as soon as the scortching sun goes down to make peace with the loss.

Ah Newgrounds, how I've missed you!

I know last time I wrote here was back in Christmas of 2013 but just like an estranged father who went out to go grab a pack of smokes, it took me a couple years to return.
This time around, however, I'm here to stay. I got a couple of scripts down the pipeline, some commited artists and plenty of ideas. I ain't sure how much stuff I can produce during the summer since I am working full time but as soon as the weather cools down I should have plenty of time to commit to making weird games for y'all to enjoy.

Thank you so much for all the kind words about Extra Pepperoni. Hopefully the next one will be even better.

Oh hai there everyone. Boy oh boy do I have a couple projects in the works. A month or so ago I gave myself a challenge to write 5 scripts in one week in order to practice my scriptwriting and stretch my idea muscles. Sadly I only hit 3 completed scripts and like 5 more game ideas but with the wonderful flow of people willing to animate/program for the games I've managed to finish off some of these scripts. With that said there's multiple things on the way! Firstly I have a non-quiz game coming up (I know right? Shocker), I also have another quiz game similar to The Evening Visitor, An escape the room game and a platformer game in the works! Chances are only half of these things are actually going to get done in the near future but hell, half is better than none right? I've also started working on a three part animated series which I hope to refine at some point and actually be able to release a nice little show, but my writing and organization skills still have ways to go. Blah blah blah, happy holidays ya weirdos!4674245_138789201491_n.jpg

Hey everyone!

So I've been on a little hiatus recently.
I managed to lose about 12 hours of work on my previous project back in October and I just decided to call it quits for a bit. However now I am back and working again! (half-assed proof below)
I wanted to thank everyone for all the support and kind messages, without them I probably would have just kept flash closed and wouldn't get back to doing this.

At the moment a large chunk of the art for my upcoming project ''The Visitor'' is finished along with the entirety of the script and a small portion of the voice acting. I'm hoping I can get this project out within the next two weeks at the latest but who knows, I might disappear off the face of the earth for another couple months.

As is painfully obvious from all of my projects I lack both art and programming skills. As much as I want to improve both of these I would love to collaborate with someone who can draw better than me or program something more complicated than a quiz game! If you're out there and you want to join forces to create something give me a heads up!

Once again thanks for all the support,
DG

P.S
If this post seems overly disjointed I apologize, I need some sleep.

Next project! For reals now/Help me

Oh hey there ya snakes!

First off I'm not dead... yet.
Just wanted to update anyone who cares; I'm working on a new project but the scriptwriting is a pain in the ass, too many different paths to take in the story and all that.

...
Thinking about it now this post might just be another means of me avoiding to write the script.

Ah well.

See ya soon!
